    • Oman’s MEM invites Mining companies to participate in Bid round 2022

    Muscat: The Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM) is Inviting Mining International and local companies having experience in #Mining projects to participate in the forthcoming bid round for the Salt (Potash) and associated commodities in the Blocks 51-A, 53-B, 53-C and 51-D in the Sultanate of Oman.

    Blocks in Um A Samim Sabkhah

    Block 53-A – Covers an area of about 3719 km2

    Block 53-B – Covers an areas of about 3823 km2

    Block 53-C – Covers an areas of about 5067 km2

    Located in the Interior Oman lying to the south of the Oman Mountains piedmont’ ex-tends into the eastern part of the Rub’ al Khali sand desert and its western edge follows the international border with Saudi Arabia, this areas is a flat desert known as Umm A Samim area.

    Block 51-D  – Covers an area of about 567 km2

    Located in Mahoot central Oman a few kilometers from Shanna Harbour along with coast of Oman. Salt flat of the evaporation of a body of water.

    Start date: 10th April 2022 – End date 10th June 2022
