Oman’s MERA Organizes Symposium on Moral Upbringing of Children

Muscat: Represented by the Department of Women’s Education and Guidance, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs today organized a symposium titled “Hasana” (immunity) on providing moral guidance to children through the inculcation of good faith and psychological, social and intellectual safeguards.

Held in the Wilayat of A’Seeb, the symposium was aimed at highlighting the importance of religious values in raising children and educating them in accordance with noble morals. The symposium focused on means of instilling the concept of religious responsibility in families and educators, encouraging them to raise awareness in young generations about the need to apply innovative thinking to address contemporary intellectual and cultural challenges.

The symposium discussed major factors that influence the role of the family, being the core educational institution that shoulders the responsibility of grooming generations in a manner that respects cultural and social diversity. The symposium showcased the best educational practices in accommodating spiritual, mental and social aspects in the process of children’s moral upbringing.
