Oman’s Minister of Energy and Minerals meets with German official

Muscat: Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, met here today with Dr. Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Action of the Federal Republic of Germany, at the Kempinski Hotel.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the growing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to raise the levels of cooperation and partnership existing between them, and enhance cooperation in various fields of energy, hydrogen, and confronting climate change.

The two sides also discussed joint cooperation between the two friendly countries, especially in the field of clean energy. Due to the Sultanate of Oman’s strong capabilities for investment in this important field, it has made it the focus of attention of most countries in the world, such as hydrogen production, as the Sultanate of Oman has the most important basic factors for its production, which are solar energy, wind energy, and vast areas.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mohsen bin Hamad Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary for Energy and Minerals, His Excellency Ambassador Humaid Al Maani, Head of the Global Affairs Department, and the CEOs of the OQ Group, Hydrom Oman Company, and the Oman LNG Company.
