    • Oman’s Minister of Labor clarifies minimum wage

    Muscat: His Excellency Dr. Mahad Baween, Minister of Labor, said that there is a request to study raising the minimum wage.

    The Ministry of Labor in a media conference said, that this matter requires a great effort and includes market studies and other things that must be looked at, such as the state of the economy, as well as the effects of the pandemic on it.

    The last period witnessed a demand to raise the minimum wage, which currently stands at 325 Omani Riyals.
