Oman’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries announces opening of central market and the port market in Saham

Muscat: The Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources, represented by the Department of Fisheries Development in Saham, announced that the central market and the port market for wholesale and retail sale will be opened on Thursday, September 24, from 6am to 10am in the morning to start the retail process.

This comes according to the agreement that was made in the meeting held on 9/21/2020 AD chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Governor of North Al Batinah, and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Wali Saham and their Excellencies members of the state’s Shura Council, the engineer, director general of fisheries in the governorates of Al Batinah and the engineer Director General of North Al Batinah Municipality, members of the Municipal Council, members of the Municipal Affairs Committee, and members of the Sunan Al Bahr Committee in the Wilayat, it was decided in it.

The Ministry indicated to all license holders registered in the selling and cutting professions wishing to work in the central fish market or in the port to register their names with the market office in the central market during the period from Tuesday on September 22 to Wednesday on September 23.

Note that the sites will be distributed according to the capacity and requirements set.
