Oman’s Ministry of Education celebrates World Health Day 2022

Muscat: The Center for Career Guidance and Student Guidance at the Ministry of Education participates in the world’s celebration of World Health Day, which falls on the 7th of April every year. This year bears the slogan “Our Planet, Our Health” launched by the World Health Organization to highlight the importance of protecting the planet from pollution and maintaining the health of Humans.

On this occasion, about 80 students from Al Azaiba School for Basic Education (1-4) in the Muscat Governorate participated in the World Health Day celebration, in the presence of Dr. Jan Yaqoub Jabbour, representative of the WHO office in the Sultanate of Oman, and representatives from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education. the health. The celebration activities included a student campaign to clean the Azaiba beach, educate students about the importance of preserving the planet, and clarify the relationship between the pollution of the planet and the increase in diseases and its reflection on their health and the health of community members, and how protecting and preserving the planet contributes to the prevention of diseases in general and chronic diseases in particular.

His Excellency Dr. Jan Yaqoub Jabbour, representative of the World Health Organization in the Sultanate of Oman, said: This year’s World Health Day comes under the slogan “Our Planet is Our Health”, and this means that every individual is concerned and responsible for the safety of our planet and the safety of our health, and we were pleased with the participation of a number of students in a clean-up campaign The environment is one of the activities supported by the World Health Organization.

Fadel bin Humaid Al Hadhrami, Director of the Guidance and Awareness Department at the Vocational Guidance and Student Guidance Center, said: The participation of the Ministry of Education, represented by the Al Azaiba School for Basic Education (1-4) of the World Health Organization in Muscat, came out of partnership and cooperation between the two sides and a translation of the work of the joint team between them and the Ministry of Health, which aims to: Achieving several goals, most notably raising the level of environmental, health and educational awareness among students and paying attention to general and personal hygiene.
