H.E Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi

Minister of information, member of the Supreme Committee on COVID-19

I call on the talented youth to come up with innovative ways to raise awareness as they can deal with technology effectively.

I Say to them: “This is your time and we at the Ministry of Information and as government are willing and ready to support all awareness efforts.

I appreciate the awareness efforts made by difference mass media, including, TV, radio, newspapers, and website as well as the social media influencers.

The media channels have played a fundamental role in dealing with rumours and disaffirming misinformation. In addition to the efforts made in raising awareness in different aspects related to this pandemic and the necessary precautions which helped in the spread of scientific knowledge.

We understand the state of boredom and fatigue that many people are going through regarding the long measures that have continued to deal with the epidemic, and there is no near prospect of their end.

His Excellency added, we advise everyone not to violate the precautionary measures and not go to any gatherings, stressing: “This is a dangerous time, and everyone should contribute to raising awareness as much as possible.”

The committee is aware of the gatherings in farms and other areas, which are monitored gatherings, and no decision has been taken in this, adding that we do not want to take the camera and photograph the violators and arrest them, and we advise Everyone to avoid it, this came during the press conference of the Supreme Committee.
