Oman’s Ministry to organise Energy and Minerals Forum in Dhofar

Muscat: The Ministry of Energy and Minerals will organize tomorrow, Sunday, the Energy and Minerals Forum in Dhofar Governorate, under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar.

During the forum, the most important works and activities led by the Ministry will be highlighted, especially after the new investment system was introduced in the minerals sector, which regulates the process of issuing licenses under the concession system, with an explanation of the new investment aspects in the minerals sector, and the importance of clarifying the investment mechanism in it for local companies.

The forum will provide an overview of the mineral sector in the Sultanate of Oman and Dhofar Governorate in particular, as the forum represents an opportunity to exchange views with partners and the community. The forum will also address renewable energy and hydrogen in the actual investment in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the strategic direction for the Sultanate of Oman to be one of the largest exporters of hydrogen in the world.

The forum will also refer to the completion of the preparations that are being secured by the energy sector for various petroleum and gas products during the fall season, as well as securing green mobility stations for electric cars on the road leading to the Dhofar Governorate.
