Madrid: Oman’s Misfat Al Abriyeen was listed among the best tourism villages by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). A total of 44 villages from 32 countries were granted the recognition in 2021

This announcement came during the United National World Tourism Organization General Assembly in Madrid, Spain held on Thursday Dec 2.

Misfat Al Abriyeen was included among 4 Arab villages in the list of the best tourist villages in the world. The village of Rijal Alma in Saudi Arabia, the Lebanese town of Bkassin, and the Moroccan village of Sidi Kaouki were also chosen.

It is noteworthy that Misfat Al Abriyeen is one of the beautiful ancient villages in the Wilayat of Al Hamra. It is located in the midst of the central mountain of the Wilayat of Al Hamra, which is part of the extension of the Al Hajar Mountains. It is five kilometers from the Wilayat’s center through a paved road that cuts through a mountain range.
