    • Oman’s MOH issues circular for those heading to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah

    Muscat: The Ministry of Health announces the administration of seasonal flu vaccine for individuals with chronic disease and adults aged 65 years and older, as well as for those who heading to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, as taking the vaccine is one of the conditions imposed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

    Thus, the Ministry calls on the above mentioned groups to approach the nearest health institute to get the seasonal flue vaccine. Getting the vaccine avoids these groups the influenza infection that effects the respiratory device, which causes serious complications, particularly to those who suffer from chronic diseases and the elders.

    The non-targeted citizens and residents may get the vaccine in the private health institutions.
