    • Oman’s MOH issues guidelines on use of Paracetamol Tablet

    Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) issued a circular regarding the high consumption of the (Paracetamol Tablet) by health units during the years 2019, at a rate of 45,000, in 2020 at a rate of 41,000, and 2021 at a rate of 45,000

    The ministry stated in a circular to not to dispense more than one strip (10 pills) to the patient, as this item is used only for necessity, stressing that the quantities disbursed to all health units will be reduced.

    It is noteworthy that this circular came to the directors of the pharmaceutical care departments and medical warehouses at Khoula Hospital and the Royal Hospital, the directors of the pharmaceutical care departments in the governorates, and the heads of the pharmaceutical care departments and medical warehouses in the reference hospitals.
