Oman’s MoH Minister Outlines Strategic Objectives of Medical City Hospital

Muscat: The opening of the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services is as a step forward in achieving integration among all health institutions and realizing many objectives, including ‘health security’, said Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health.

In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), Dr. Hilal said that such projects based on solid foundations place the Sultanate of Oman among the ranks of developed countries distinguished for quality of health services.

The minister pointed out that Sultanate of Oman is pressing ahead with the modernization of health services and development, with special focus on the wellbeing of Omani citizens.

Dr. Hilal explained that the Medical City for Military and Security Services constitutes an advanced facility manned by an elite cadre of health specialists. “This edifice will provide great to attract, recruit and train national human resources. It will be a motivating environment for education and research on health studies, besides playing an essential role in providing healthcare for military and security personnel and their families,” said Dr. Hilal, noting that the hospital would efficiently operate alongside its counterparts in improving health services in the Sultanate of Oman.
