Muscat: Oman’s Ministry of Health reports first Omani nurse death due to COVID-19

In a statement MOH said: The Ministry of Health announced the death of the first Omani nurse after being infected with the Coronavirus “Covid 19”, bringing the total number of deaths from this virus to 3 nurses.

The Minister of Health, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Saeedi, offered condolences to the families of the deceased, calling on the Almighty to grant her great mercy.

The Ministry of Health published a tweet in which it said: “His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Saeedi, Minister of Health, and Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries of the Ministry and all the employees of the health services in the Sultanate offer sincere condolences to the families of the late, God willing, the nurse Shanouna Al-Numaniya, who moved to the mercy of God Almighty after being infected with the Covid 19 virus , Praying to God Almighty to cover her with the mercy and to inspire her family and her relatives patience and solace.

The ministry indicated that this case is the first death of an Omani nurse due to the Corona virus, and it was preceded by two expatriate nurses.

The Omani affairs family extends their deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, asking God Almighty to accept her with the mercy of His mercy, and to inspire her family with patience and solace. And unto God and to Him we shall return
