Oman’s Mol launches the employment application system; signs agreement for “Tawteen” platform

Ministry of Labour launches employment platform ‘Tawteen’

Muscat: With the aim of empowering economic sectors and enhancing the labor market, the Ministry of Labor (Mol) on Tuesday 17th September 2024 launched the new employment application system and signed an agreement for the “Tawteen” platform, in partnership with the National Employment Program and Tawteen Company.

The signing ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Mahad bin Said Baowain, Minister of Labor, explained that the Tawteen platform and employment application system will contribute to enabling economic sectors to implement the National Employment Strategy efficiently and effectively, through an advanced digital environment that enhances the connection between all parties, noting that the “Tawteen” platform is an integrated digital experience between regulatory bodies, companies, and individuals seeking job opportunities.

His Excellency added that the “Tawteen” platform is a fundamental pillar for enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors, with innovative tools and advanced artificial intelligence, indicating that the “Tawteen” platform enables companies to accurately follow up on local content plans and ensures commitment to national employment goals, adding that this platform will provide real opportunities for citizens to access jobs that are in line with market needs.

His Excellency pointed out that the Ministry seeks to achieve the common goals of enhancing the national labor market and driving economic development forward, through fruitful cooperation between the public and private sectors, noting that the “Tawteen” platform is a step towards a developed and sustainable labor market.

In this regard, His Excellency stressed that the platform and employment application system will reflect the current trend in digital transformation, and create an advanced and stimulating digital work environment for all entities operating in the employment sector. They will support the work of employment governance committees, meet the needs and requirements of the labor market and enhance employment opportunities. They will have new and innovative roles, by exploiting the tremendous progress in artificial intelligence.

During the ceremony, an agreement was signed with Tawteen Company, signed on behalf of the Ministry of Labor by His Excellency Sayyid Salim bin Muslim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Human Resources Development, and on behalf of the company by Ali bin Ahmed Al Mujaini, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
