Oman’s MoSD launches social research service

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development launched the social research service within the Ministry’s digital transformation project, under the auspices of Her Excellency Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar, Minister of Social Development.

The social search service includes two tracks: the quick query and the comprehensive search service. It targets institutions that wish to conduct social research on individuals and families within the framework of the social services provided by the Ministry, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministry of Interior, the Royal Oman Police, and the General Authority. Social Insurance, and the Civil Service Employees Pension Fund, as well as social development committees, teams, and charities.

The service aims to reduce the documents and letters sent between the ministry and the institutions benefiting from the service, and reduce the time to process citizen requests by the concerned institutions, in addition to reducing the burden on the citizen in moving between the ministry and the concerned institution to complete the social research procedures.
