Oman’s MoSD organises leadership empowerment program for women in decision-making positions

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development, represented by the Department of Women’s Affairs, organized today the first training program on “Leadership Empowerment of Women in Decision-Making Positions”, with the participation of a number of active women leaders, at the National Autism Center in Al Khoud.

The program aims to provide participants with leadership, communication and decision-making skills, and to empower them with planning and management skills of media enablers such as campaigns and tools, in addition to highlighting empowering women’s experiences and sharing successful experiences of women.

Wadha bint Salem Al-Alawi, Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Social Development, said in the ministry’s speech that the Sultanate of Oman has paid great attention to Omani women, and assured them of confidence in exercising their duties and giving them all their rights, noting that Omani women are a successful model for their pioneering role in advancing the national economy.

She added that Omani women in the Sultanate of Oman received clear attention, which was embodied through their participation in national development, support for their role and empowerment in various fields.

Ahmed bin Ali Al-Mukhaini, a consultant and expert in policy analysis and development in the areas of economic and social development, strategies, and governance, gave a visual presentation that included a theme entitled: “The electoral campaign, its components and stages”, which includes forming and building a work team, attracting and managing volunteers, planning, organizing and implementing the campaign, and estimating the required budget and funding sources.

The second axis includes the constitutional, legislative and legal framework in the Sultanate of Oman, and includes the tools and means through which studies, hosting, discussions, wishes, proposals, development plans and budgets, and relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks are used.
