Oman’s MoSD organizes meeting on women leaders

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development organized today a meeting on women leaders, entitled “Empowering Omani Women as Leaders”, at the National Autism Center building, under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar, Minister of Social Development.

Mrs. Maani bint Abdullah Al Busaidi, Director General of Family Development at the Ministry of Social Development, delivered a speech in which she said that Omani women are a successful model for the pioneering role they play in advancing the national economy, adding that since the beginning of the blessed renaissance process, she has received great attention, care and distinguished honor.

She mentioned that during the era of the renewed Omani renaissance, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, paid clear attention to the participation of Omani women in national development, supporting their role and empowering them in various fields.

The meeting was attended by 82 active women leaders in the government and private sectors, civil society institutions, entrepreneurs and young people from higher education institutions and academic institutions and “investment in oneself and one’s responsibility” and “a presentation of a possible and successful young women’s experience.”
