Oman’s MTCIT showcases keys to innovation in artificial intelligence in Buraimi Governorate

Al Buraimi: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of Al Buraimi and the Artificial Intelligence Technology Company, organized an awareness program about the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on our society at the Knowledge Hall at Al Buraimi University.

The program aims to build a local community that is informed and ready to deal with modern technologies, improve public understanding of artificial intelligence and positive ways to use it to improve life, and reduce concerns about the risks associated with artificial intelligence and its applications, in order to achieve the goals of “Oman Vision 2040”.

The first session of the program included a detailed presentation on artificial intelligence, and the most prominent advanced technologies and applications associated with it in various sectors, such as: energy, agriculture, education, health, and others.

As for the second session, it touched on the impact of technologies and the most important skills that are required to be known to enhance human capabilities, and how to apply artificial intelligence in a way that suits the work environment.

The artificial intelligence technology company provided a detailed explanation of the future of labor markets and jobs in light of technical developments and robots, and its most prominent uses in various fields as the key to innovation, and reviewed the most important laws and legislations regulating artificial intelligence.
