Oman’s National Museum launches calendar and notebook documenting historical stages of the late Sultan's life.

Muscat : The National Museum launches new calendar and notebook which documenting the historical legacy of the late Sultan Said bin Taimur from the collections of the late Sultan Qaboos bin said.

National Museum said: In commemoration of the late Sultan Said bin Taimur, the National Museum is launching the (1443-1444 AH / 2022 CE) calendar and a notebook where the pharse “Muhibukum” is the front cover and inspired by one of the official seals of the late Sultan Said bin Taimur. The calendar and notebook highlight aspects of the legacy of the lat Sultan Said bin Taimur in various field, and review a number of royal artefacts, which document historical stages of the late Sultan’s life.

“The selected royal artifacts, which were acquired by the National Museum, shed light on the reign of the late Sultan Said bin Taimur. As the list of pictures displayed in order included amulet necklace presented to the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said from his father, the late Sultan Said bin Taimur, a commemorative gift box presented by the Hyderabadi ithna ashari (twelever) of Mattrah as an Oath of Allegiance to Sultan Said bin Taimur, in addition to banknote album, and an al-Bab al-Kabir commemorative plaque dating to 1354 AH/ 1935 CE. The collection also includes commemorative stamps.
