Oman’s National Search and Rescue Team returns from Turkiye

Muscat: Oman’s National Search and Rescue Team Returns to Oman after participating in the search for survivors of the earthquake in Turkiye.

In a statement CDAA said: “The National Search and Rescue Team of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority of the Sultanate of Oman has returned to the country after strenuous and humanitarian efforts made by the team over a period of fifteen days, represented in search and rescue operations, first aid, and assistance to those affected by the earthquake that struck the sister Republic of Turkey on February 6, 2023.”

Among the national team were Major General Abdullah bin Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Brigadier General, Chairman of the Authority, Brigadier General Staff Pilot, Commander of Musanna Air Base, His Excellency Muhammad Hakimoglu, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of senior officers of the Authority.
