Muscat: The total local production and import of natural gas reached 49.444 billion cubic meters by the end of November 2023, an increase of 4.9 percent compared to 47.113 billion cubic meters by the end of November 2022.
Statistics showed that industrial projects accounted for 58.4 percent of the uses of natural gas in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of November 2023. The industrial projects used reached 28.893 billion cubic meters.
The total use of natural gas for: oil fields reached 12.363 billion cubic meters, power generation stations 7.946 billion cubic meters, and industrial areas 240.100 million cubic meters.
It is noteworthy that the non-associated production of natural gas, including imports, reached 39.298 billion cubic meters, while the associated production amounted to 10.145 billion cubic meters.
