    Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) signs an agreement to support and promote the film industry

    The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed an agreement with Action Films LLC and Destinations Rising, the company specialized in the global promotion of international film and TV production sites, with the aim of promoting Oman as an attractive destination for filming.

    Through this agreement, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry seeks to promote the Sultanate’s terrain and geographical locations that can make the Sultanate a milestone in the film and television industry globally.

    The agreement aims to make the Sultanate the preferred destination for film production, making it on the map of countries that attract such industries and compete internationally in this sector, thus enhancing the use and impact of “soft power” for film and television productions in enhancing the Sultanate’s tourist attraction.

    The promotional campaign for filming sites for cinema and TV artistic production is supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, the Ministry of Information and Omran Company, because this sector represents promising investment opportunities for small and medium enterprises working in this field.
