Oman’s OCCI to establish joint stock companies in various governorates


Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) seeks to establish closed joint stock companies in various governorates of Sultanate with aim of develop the promising economic sectors.

His Excellency Eng. Rida bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told the Oman News Agency that the Chamber is currently working on the necessary studies to establish such companies, and that some governorates such as Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah and Musandam have started establishing joint stock companies and are currently in advanced stages.

His Excellency stressed that the Chamber is making unremitting efforts to attract new investments to the Sultanate of Oman and to search for investment opportunities in various countries of the world, by organising visits for trade delegations and bilateral meetings between Omani businessmen and their counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries.
