Muscat: The total volume of the Sultanate of Oman’s oil exported at the end of December 2023 stood at 310,331, 200 barrels. The average oil price was calculated at USD 82.3 per barrel. Exports comprised 81% of the total oil production, which stood at 382,770,200 barrels, according to data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI)
In general, the total oil export decreased by 2.4 precent compared with December 2022 when the export stood at 317,977,900 barrels in parallel with a decline in the production by 1.8 percent when it reached 388,434,800 barrels in 2022.
The total production of crude oil production decreased by 3.9 percent to stand at the end of December of last year 297,293,600 barrels. Meanwhile, the production of condensates registered a rise by 8.3 percent to stand at 85,476,600 barrels. Average daily production of oil stood at 1,048,700 barrels till the end of December 2023.
China topped the list of countries importing Oman’s oil with total exports standing at 285,642,500 barrels, comprising a rise by 10 percent compared with December 2022. It was followed by Japan with 9,385,900 barrels (19.8% down), Korea with 5,214,600 barrels (56.8% down) and India with 2,716,200 barrels (91.3% down). Exports to other countries stood at 7,371,800 barrels, up by 127.1.
