Oman’s production of M-95 grade petrol rises by 12.6%

Total refinery products in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 4 percent until the end of December 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, according to statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information.

The statistics indicated that the production of (95) motor fuel increased by 12.6 percent until the end of December 2022, to reach 14,838,700 barrels, compared to 13,182,200 barrels during the same period in 2021, while its sales decreased by a slight 0.3 percent, to reach 12,000,000 barrels. And 574 thousand and 900 barrels, while its exports amounted to 3 million and 111 thousand and 600 barrels, an increase of 118.8 percent.

The production of motor fuel (91) also increased by 5.0 percent until the end of last December, to record 13,816,900 barrels compared to the same period in 2021, and its sales increased by 44.7 percent, to reach 13,171,800 barrels, and its exports decreased by 59.6 percent, to reach To one million and 605,600 barrels.

Until the end of last December, diesel production witnessed a decrease of 5 percent compared to the same period in 2021, to reach 32,569,300 barrels, while its sales increased by 12.2 percent, to reach 14,975,100 barrels, and its exports decreased by 17.2 percent, to 17,288 million thousand barrels.

As for petrochemicals, the production and exports of polypropylene witnessed a significant increase by 22.4 percent and 43.3 percent, respectively, while its sales decreased by 48.2 percent until the end of December 2022.

On the other hand, the production and exports of benzene decreased by 59.7 percent and 63 percent, respectively, until the end of last December, and the production and exports of paraxylene decreased by 66.1 percent and 66.6 percent, respectively.
