Muscat: Qarn Alam in Dakhilyah goverorate recorded the highest temperature in the Sultanate of Oman on Sunday, June 2, 2023 which exceeded 48 degrees Celsius.
According to Oman Meteorology, Qarn Alam staton in Dakhilyah Governorated recorded 48.8 degrees Celsius as the highest temperature among all the weather stations during the last 24 hours, followed by Fahud with 48.2 degrees Celsius, Adam with 47.5 degrees Celsius, Dima Wa Teen 47.5 degrees Celsius, Bediyya 46.9 degrees Celsius, Bahla 46.7 degrees Celsius, Zamaim 46.7 degrees Celsius, Ibri 46.6 degrees Celsius
While Jabal Sham station recorded 17.8 degrees as the lowest temperature, followed by Dhalkut and Qairoon Hiriti recorded 22.5 degrees.
Oman Meteorology also said, “the expected weather today, and the forecast indicates that the weather will be partly cloudy on the coastal strip of Dhofar Governorate and the neighboring mountains, with intermittent drizzle and sporadic rain.
The flow of high and medium clouds, chances of cumulus cloud formation, sporadic thunderstorms sometimes accompanied by active downward winds that may lead to valleys flowing during the afternoon over parts of the Hajar Mountains and its adjacent areas and parts of Al Wusta Governorate.
Chances of low clouds formation and fog at night and early morning on parts of the coasts of the Sea of Oman, the Arabian Sea, and the coasts of Musandam Governorate and there are chances of dust and sandstorms in the desert areas
