Oman’s relief aid arrives in Libya

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Tunisia confirmed the arrival of Omani relief aid to Libya today.

In a statement published said that in implementation of the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik  to support the efforts of the Libyan state in dealing with the effects of the floods that it recently suffered in eastern Libya, today the Omani Authority for Charitable Works sent, in coordination through the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Tunisia, urgent relief and treatment assistance was provided.

Libyan media said that the Omani relief plane arrived at Benina Airport carrying 85 tons of aid for those affected by the hurricane.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued his royal orders to send urgent humanitarian aid to sisterly Libya, to support the efforts made to deal with the floods that struck eastern Libya recently, within the framework of the fraternal relations between the two countries, and as an expression of the humanitarian role that… It is carried out by the Sultanate of Oman to provide relief to those affected by various natural disasters.
