Oman’s SAI participates in Ministerial Meeting of Anti-corruption Law enforcement Authorities

Jeddah: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the State Audit Institution (SAI), is participating in the first ministerial meeting of anti-corruption law enforcement authorities in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the ministerial meeting of the GCC anti-corruption law enforcement institutions, which are being held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Oman’s delegation is headed in the two meetings by Sheikh Ghosn Hilal Al Alawi, SAI Chairman.

Sheikh Ghosn Al Alawi delivered Oman’s speech at the meeting during which he expressed Oman’s appreciation for all efforts at the regional and international levels to enhance integrity, exchange experiences and cooperation in the areas of enforcement of anti-corruption laws.

He also stressed Oman’s keenness to effectively contributing with the international community in aspects related to the relevant joint action.

Al Alawi underscored the importance of international conventions in coordinating efforts and achieving complementarity in cooperation activities and exchanging information.

He also reviewed some aspects related to Oman’s efforts in the areas of enhancing integrity.

The two-day meetings review ways of cooperation among anti-corruption agencies, evaluate the efforts made in this regard and identify the deficiencies and challenges. Recommendations for development and improvement will be put forward during the meetings.
