Muscat: The Shura Council will hold the second and third regular sessions of the first annual session of the tenth term (2023-2027) on Sunday and Monday, November 26-27.
This came through a council publication, where the draft state budget for the fiscal year 2024 will be discussed with His Excellency Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, in the first session, which will be non-public.
As for the second session, the Shura Council will discuss the Shura Economic Report on the draft state budget for the fiscal year 2024.
It is noteworthy that the Oman Council law specifies the types of sessions and topics that can be discussed during them:
– Public sessions
– Non-public sessions: in cases where this is required by agreement between the Council of Ministers and an opinion from both chambers.
– Secret sessions: discussing draft development plans and the state’s general budget
