Oman’s state council takes part in Arab Regional Conference on Population and Development

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the State Council, took part via video-conferencing in the Arab Regional Conference on Population and Development, themed “Challenges and Prospects Ten Years After the 2013 Cairo Declaration,”.

Oman was represented during the conference, which was held in Lebanon, by Dr. Raya Salim Al Manthiri, Member of the State Council.

The conference was organized by the ESCWA, the United Nations Population Fund – Regional Office for Arab States, and the Arab League in partnership with the International Planned Parenthood Federation.

Moreover, the conference’s sessions discussed a spectrum of topics, including letters resulting from regional talks regarding the 2013 Cairo Declaration, as well as topics related to human rights and achieving equality, among other topics.  – ONA
