Muscat: The State Council has stressed the importance of not disclosing or declaring or publishing information about the draft laws referred by the government under study.
The State Council Office stressed the importance and necessity of observing the confidentiality of information and not disclosing, declaring or publishing information about draft laws referred by the government that are still under study in accordance with the directives and legal systems in force in this regard.
This came in a meeting of the State Council Office yesterday, Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in which it discussed a set of issues, including the rules and procedures regulating the holding of joint sessions between the State and Shura Councils.
During the meeting, the office discussed the controls related to draft law proposals submitted by the Council of Oman, as well as the system of representation in regional and international forums.
The office of the Council also reviewed a number of reports and proposals submitted by the honoured members of the Council regarding their participation in the meetings of the international and regional parliamentary councils.
