The Supreme Committee has decided to allow the performance of Friday prayers and re-open places of worship for those who received at least one dose of the vaccine until the end of September 2021, provided that mosques and areas of worship operate at 50% of their space capacity. The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs shall undertake the mission of application of precautionary measures.
The Supreme Committee also decided to allow holding of group activities (social, cultural and sports) and events, exhibitions and conferences, provided that only those who received at least one dose of the vaccine by the end of September 2021, attend the events/activities and in condition that the venues operate at 50% of their capacity. The department concerned shall undertake the mission of application of precautionary measures.
The Supreme Committee suspended the decision to apply institutional quarantine to those coming to the Sultanate from the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and those coming from the two countries are subject to the same procedures imposed on arrivals from other countries of the world.
The Supreme Committee stressed the need to adhere to the precautionary measures, the most important of which are physical distancing, washing hands and wearing masks when participating in gatherings of any kind, and calls on everyone to take the utmost precaution and caution in order to protect themselves and all members of the community.
