

Muscat: Oman’s Supreme Committee to allow opening toilets, ablution places in mosques
The Supreme Committee decides to allow the opening of toilets and places for ablution and the operation of air-conditioning in mosques, provided that the precautionary measures are adhered to.
The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs warned that, in light of the precautionary measures decided by the Supreme Committee in charge of examining the mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid 19), and in order to achieve the public interest in a manner that guarantees the preservation of society from the spread of covid, the Supreme Committee decided to allow the opening of toilets and places of ablution and operating Air-conditioning equipment in mosques, provided that the prescribed precautionary measures are followed and the necessary precautions are taken in this regard, which are mentioned in the guideline.
