Muscat: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) issued a third-class license to Emerging Global Technologies Company (ETCO), as the licensed company will work to establish a ground station connected to a satellite network for the purposes of monitoring, tracking, and directing commands to the satellites of the company (Emerging Global Technologies – ETCO), in addition to photography from space. To collect and analyze satellite image data for use in some applications, including mapping, environmental monitoring, resource management, and disaster management.

This license aims to use satellite images in some applications such as mapping, environmental monitoring, resource management, agriculture, and disaster management, as well as enabling investment in innovative technologies and services and the localization of technologies.
