Online registration for Hajj Pilgrims ends tomorrow in Oman

Muscat: The online registration for those who wish to perform Hajj rituals for the 1445 AH season from the Sultanate of Oman, which began on October 23rd, ends tomorrow 5 November

Registration is done via the following link (www.hajj.om), and direct registration is available in three ways (registration by entering the civil number , or by ID card, or by mobile phone number if the ID card chip and phone card are enabled by “PKI”.

The total Hajj requests, according to the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) as of 4 November, has reached 32,441 requests, including 29,482 requests from Omanis and 2,959 requests from residents of the Sultanate of Oman.

The Ministry has stated that the applicant, whether he is a man or woman, or who has a visual or mobility disability, has the right to obtain a companion, chosen from those registered in the system according to the controls, with the woman choosing a mahram from those previously registered in the system, and the registration will be based on the number. The civilian registered with the ID card, provided that it is valid, uses his personal (mobile) phone number during the registration process in order to receive text messages from the system or personal e-mail, which is the considered means of communicating any procedures or reports and their consequences.

The Ministry explained that, based on coordination between the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Social Development regarding the beneficiaries of the High Aid for Hajj who are eligible for social security, the desire to benefit from the program must be confirmed upon registration, explaining that in order to ensure transparency and allow freedom of choice of the Hajj company by those eligible.

It prohibits Hajj companies from interfering in the registration of those wishing to perform Hajj rituals.
