Opening ceremony of OQ LPG Plant in Salalah, under the patronage of HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham

Salalah: OQ celebrates today the commissioning of OQ Liquified Petroleum Gas Plant under the patronage of H.H Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.​

In a statement Oman news agency said: His Highness Sayyid Dhi Yazan bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, patronizes the opening ceremony of the OQ LPG plant in Salalah, which is the first of its kind to process gas in the Sultanate of Oman, with a total investment value of approximately OMR 318 million.

His Highness confirms in a statement that such national projects in the petrochemical sector, which are implemented by the Omani Investment Authority through the OQ Group, represent a tributary to the national economy.

It reflects the aspirations of the government of His Majesty the Sultan to promote trends of economic diversification in the country in line with the vision of Oman 2040.

His Highness praised the success achieved in operating the OQ LPG plant in the Dhofar Governorate, with this high level of operational efficiency, which is managed by young Omanis. It reflects the efforts made by the OQ Group in optimizing and maximizing the benefit of the country’s natural resources and promoting manufacturing industries.
