

Muscat: The National Center for Statistics and Information continues to implement an opinion poll to measure community awareness about the coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine, in cooperation with the General Directorate for Disease Control and Control at the Ministry of Health on a sample of 3,000 Omanis and expatriates who are (18 years and over) from all governorates Sultanate.
The survey, which will last until the end of this 31, December, aims to measure the level of awareness, attitudes and practices related to the “Covid-19” vaccine, which will contribute to the prevention and control of the disease.
The survey also aims to know the extent of public awareness on the pandemic, its symptoms, methods of transmission, proper treatment when infected, and who are the most vulnerable people infected, and identifying the source of knowledge about the vaccine
The survey deals with knowledge of society’s view of the safety of the vaccine and the belief that it will prevent them from infection, their opinion of whether it is necessary to take the vaccine for those with a history of infection, what side effects they expect after taking the vaccine and the number of doses needed.
