OQ concludes the emergency management exercise in Musandam

Khasab: The International Integrated Energy Group (OQ), represented by the Exploration and Production Sector, successfully concluded an emergency management exercise in the concession area offshore Block 8 in Musandam Governorate.

The exercise came within the framework of emphasizing readiness and ensuring the security and safety of citizens, residents, employees and the surrounding local communities, as well as the group’s assets in emergency situations.

The exercise was carried out in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police represented by the Musandam Governorate Police Command, with the participation of the General Directorate of Police Aviation, the Civil Defense and Ambulance Department in Musandam Governorate, the Coast Guard Police in Musandam and the Royal Navy of Oman represented by the Musandam Naval Base.

The exercise, which comes within the framework of OQ’s efforts to ensure and measure readiness in emergency management, used all tools and mechanisms that simulate real-life emergency situations. To avoid its repercussions on people and property.

The exercise is an opportunity to evaluate and enhance emergency response procedures and effective communication protocols at all levels, which contributes to the continuous improvement of OQ’s strategies in managing emergencies and crises, and ensures maintaining a high level of readiness to deal effectively during crises.
