Muscat: OQ, the globally integrated energy company, organized a ceremony today to mark the graduation of 30 trainees from the National Training Program ‘Eidaad’.

The event was held under the auspices of Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

The event is a reflection of the efforts made by OQ to develop national capacities and is part of the company’s strategies to focus on the development of human resources, promote innovation and fulfil the need for qualified and competent human resources.

Commenting on the graduation ceremony, Ashraf Hamad Al Ma’amari, CEO for people, technology and culture at OQ, said, “Eidaad is one of the programmes implemented by OQ, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, to train students, fresh graduates and job seekers.

“OQ Group spares no efforts to enhance the skills and performance of young Omanis through continuous training and development programmes. About 100 trainees will also undergo a six-month training course. As many as 570 students were trained across OQ assets and functions. The company also attaches great priority to its strategy to innovate and educate in order to ensure adding value to the efforts made by the government to develop human resources and enhance innovation in different fields. Moreover, OQ is planning to train additional 300 interns until the end of the year”, he added.
