OQ signs agreement with KIMSHEALTH to build an Emergency & Accident Centre at Duqm

Duqm: OQ, a global integrated energy group, signed an agreement to establish an accident and emergency center with KimsHealth, in the Wilayat of Duqm, Al Wusta Governorate.

This comes within the framework of the group’s efforts to provide health care for employees and workers in the contracting companies as part of its work philosophy. The agreement was signed by Hilal Ali Al Kharusi, CEO, Commercial & Downstream Asset, and Dr. Sherif M. Sahadulla, Group CEO of KIMSHEALTH. The center includes an operating and emergency room, intensive care rooms, inpatient rooms, a blood preservation unit, and supporting health facilities.

Hilal Ali Al Kharusi, stated that the center represents great importance to the Special Economic Zone at Duqm and by providing health services for emergencies, stressing that OQ spares no effort in supporting health care as part of the social investment program, of which health is one of its main pillars.

He added that the center will provide its services to residents and workers in the various existing projects in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, indicating that the center will enhance support for upcoming vital investment projects, and establish the basis for the development of health services. In line with developments in the fields of investment.

Dr. Sharif M SahadullA, CEO of KIMSHEALTH, said: “The signing of an agreement to establish an emergency & accident center in the Wilayat of Duqm reflects the importance that OQ attaches to the safety and health of citizens and all workers in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, and also translates its commitment to this approach, which embodies its social responsibility and awareness for its role in strengthening the public and private health sector system.

It is noteworthy that OQ and its subsidiaries operating in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm provide a backup helicopter service for the emergency response plan, and air paramedics with the qualifications of the medical staff in order to carry out any emergency evacuation that may be needed. -ONA
