OQGN announces Appointments of new Project Delivery VP and QHSSE VP

Muscat: Oman’s OQ Gas Networks (OQGN) on Wednesday announces the Appointments of new Project Delivery VP and QHSSE VP

In a disclosure to Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) the company said: “OQGN delighted to announce the appointment of Haitham Al Shuraiqi as the Vice President of Project Delivery and Khalid Al Wahaibi as the Vice President of Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE), effective from 15 January 2024.

Haitham Al Shuraiqi has more than 18 years of experience in project management with proven success in upstream, international, and downstream industries. His experience is wide, he began in Production and Mechanical project engineering, and progressed as a project manager at Dugm Refinery, then as the Head of project at Tawazun (National Program Fiscal Balance) and recently as the head of projects at Duqm Refinery.

His qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering obtained in 2005 from Sultan Qaboos University and a qualification in Gas Turbines Technology and Service Engineering from General Electric Energy Learning Center — USA in 2012.

Khalid Al Wahaibi has broad experience in Oil & Gas and in mega construction projects. His latest position was the General Manager of HSSE in OQ8, before that he occupied leading roles in health and safety in Duqum Refinery and Haya Water, and earlier than that he worked as a Senior Behavioral Safety Advisor in PDO.

Khalid has a MSc Project Management in Construction & Infrastructure from University of Liverpool 2017, and a BSc in Health, Safety and Environmental Management from University of Central Lancashire 2012.
