OSSA organizes its annual ceremony to honour students

Muscat: The Oman School Sports Association (OSSA) organizes its annual ceremony under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education.

The ceremony included honoring a number of students who have achieved sporting achievements, each in their field, at the level of external participation.

Dr. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and President of the Omani School Sports Federation, said in the federation’s speech: Today we celebrate the achievements of the Omani School Sports Federation. Since its announcement in 2016, it has undertaken a pivotal mission aimed at promoting school sports, spreading its culture, and establishing principles for improving it among students. Schools, as the Federation’s goals touch school students, who are an important segment in the context of forming any society. They are characterized by the ability to form and form, unlimited ambition, and the continuous ability to learn and train. It also touches every home in the Sultanate of Oman, as it is concerned with the minute details of school sports.

He added: The Oman School Sports Federation seeks to achieve the objectives of its strategy as a road map, according to basic principles, guided by national goals and regional and international practices, including the Oman Vision 2040, the tenth five-year development plan for the Sultanate of Oman 2021-2025, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and the values ​​of the International Federation. For school sports, in addition to benefiting from the programs and activities of the Asian School Sports Federation.

The ceremony also included a visual presentation talking about the Federation’s activities and events, and honoring members of the Federation’s Board of Directors, collaborators, secretaries, sports activities specialists in the educational governorates, and participants in the Young Sports Leaders Program among physical education teachers.
