    Oman has more than 1.7 million vehicles registered

    Muscat: The number of registered vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman reached 1,711,702 million at the end of July 2024, according to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

    Vehicles with private registration constituted 79.4 percent of the total vehicles registered in Oman, to stand at 1,358,320, while the number of vehicles with commercial registration constituted 14.6 percent to reach 249,243.

    Meanwhile the number of rental vehicles reached to 37,053 vehicles, representing 2.2 percent, and the number of taxi vehicles reached 28,086 vehicles, representing 1.6 percent.
