Over 134% surge in international flights at Oman’s airports

Salalah Airport also recorded a significant increase in the number of international and domestic flights, by 73.8 percent, as the number of flights through the airport reached 7,940 until the end of November 2022, transporting 1,30,829 passengers.

As for the number of international and domestic flights departing and arriving from Sohar Airport, it amounted to 743 flights until the end of November 2022, transporting 69,066 passengers, while Duqm Airport recorded 598 incoming and outgoing domestic flights until the end of November 2022 compared to 570 flights during the same period in 2022. while the number of passengers reached 61,535 passengers until the end of November 2022, compared to 44,486 passengers until the end of November 2021, with an increase of 38.3 percent.

Passengers of the Indian nationality most used Muscat International Airport for departing and arriving flights through the airport, with a total of 120,684 passengers by the end of November 2022, followed by the Bangladeshi nationality, with a total of 48,313 passengers, and the Pakistani nationality, with a total of 37,375 passengers.
