Muscat: The number of automatic licence requests that were submitted through the online portal “Invest Easy” or through the service provider offices “SANAD” since the service was launched on April 4, 2021 until the end of February 2022 has reached 159,529 automatic licence.

A number of investors and businessmen who obtained automatic licence confirmed that the service contributes to creating a business environment that promotes growth and local economic diversification, and supports and enables the private sector as a key partner in development, and works to bring about a qualitative leap in the fields of carrying out economic activities, as it allows business owners and investors to start their economic activities. and commercial direct for the first time in the Sultanate of Oman.

The automatic licence service comes within the framework of the comprehensive development of services provided by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion through the “Invest Easy” portal, in cooperation with a number of government agencies, within the economic stimulus plan, with the aim of creating an investment climate in the Sultanate of Oman.

The service allows the investor to obtain an automatic licence for more than 1,500 economic activities, which constitute 88 percent of the total economic activities, including the sectors of agriculture, animal production, fishing, manufacturing industries, repair and installation of machinery, equipment, devices, electrical supplies, water, construction and building, in addition to the sectors of vehicle maintenance and repair, wholesale and retail, and activities.
