    Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP’) has arrested a citizen on charges of possessing over 2300 packets of khat.

    In a statement ROP said: “The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, led by the Dhofar Governorate Police, managed to arrest a citizen on charges of possessing narcotic substances with the intention of trafficking in them. More than 2,300 packages of khat were found in his possession, and the legal procedures against him are being completed.”
