Muscat: The number of automatic licensing requests submitted through the “Invest Easy” portal since the launch of the service on April 4, 2021 until the end of last September reached 324,765 licenses.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion stated that 125,771 applications were submitted in Muscat Governorate, 52,989 licenses in North Al Batinah, 42,449 applications in Dhofar, 26,655 applications in South Al Batinah, 19,850 applications in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and 1910 North. , 15,867 applications in the South Sharqiyah Governorate, 10,180 applications in Al Dhahirah Governorate, 7,151 applications in Al Buraimi, 3,272 applications in Al Wusta, and 1,920 applications in the Musandam Governorate, in addition to 262 applications submitted through the economic zones and free zones (Duqm, Salalah Free ) and 2,799 applications through the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn).

The automatic licensing service comes within the framework of the comprehensive development of the services provided by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion through the “Invest Easy” portal, in cooperation with a number of government agencies, with the aim of creating an investment climate in the Sultanate of Oman and facilitating the start of doing business in implementation of the objectives of “Oman Vision 2040”.
