More than 60000 teachers, staff to join schools in Oman tomorrow
Muscat: More than 60,000 teachers will return to schools in the Sultanate of Oman on Monday for the 2024/2025 session while the students will join classes from September 1.
All the teaching staff, supervisors, members of the educational and administrative bodies, and support groups will start their work in various schools in preparation for receiving the students.
The number of teachers in government schools in Oman this year reached 61,195, with an Omanisation rate of 87.6 percent, distributed over 1,269 schools in the country.
The number of administrators and technicians in government schools in Oman reached 10,652, of whom 4,306 were males and 6,346 were females with an Omanisation rate of 99.8%.
The number of teachers in special education schools in Oman reached 220 male and female with an Omanisation rate of 93%.
In 2023, more than 700,000 students studied in various educational directorates across the Sultanate of Oman.
