    • Over 924000 visitors to Khareef Dhofar Season till August 2023, up 17%

    Dhofar: The number of visitors to Khareef Dhofar season since the beginning of the season until August 31, 2023 reached  924,127 visitors, an increase of 17 percent compared to  792,980 visitors in 2022, according to the data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI)

    The statistics showed that the percentage of Omani visitors increased by 16.4 percent to reach 656,119 , while the number of visitors from the GCC reached 156,953 visitors, compared to 134,309 during the same period in 2022.

    Meanwhile, visitors from other nationalities stood at 111,055, constituting a rise when compared to 95,017 visitors in the previous year.

    Statistics showed that 714,520 visitors arrived to the Governorate of Dhofar through land port, while 209,607 visitors arrived through flights, which comprised a rise by 36 percent  to the number of arrival through air flights during the corresponding period in 2022.

    It is worth noting that 57 percent of visitors to Khareef Dhofar arrived during the month of August.
