fire at the Industrial zone in Wadi Kabir

Muscat: Firefighting teams at the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance Department (PACDA) in the Governorate of Muscat, with the support of the specialized Royal Oman Police formations, managed to control a fire that broke out in vehicle repair workshops and the sale of used car parts in the industrial zone of Wadi al-Kabir.

Yesterday, the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance Department received a report about a fire in a group of vehicles for repairing vehicles and selling used car parts in the Industrial Zone in Wadi Al-Kabir.

Upon receiving the report, the firefighting, rescue and ambulance teams rushed to the site, where the teams began operations to evacuate the site from the workers and residents of the area and begin firefighting operations, where the teams managed to control and extinguish it without any injuries.

The nature of the materials, such as oils and other highly flammable materials, as well as wind helped to spread it quickly.

The authority calls on the institutions and companies operating in the industrial zone to adhere to the safety requirements issued by the authority in order to avoid the occurrence of risks .. It also calls on the competent authorities to follow up the institutions and companies and the extent of their commitment and review all the regulatory aspects in the Wadi Kabir industry to avoid recurring such accidents.
